Jan. 12, 2021 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
A group will prepare a meal for about 6-10 people and deliver it to Lockport Cares, 188 Genesee St. The meal should be similar to what you would cook for your family, including a main dish, vegetable or salad, fruit or bread, and a dessert. The lead volunteer should let the other volunteers know what they plan to prepare so you can coordinate. The lead should call Lockport Cares between 7-9am or 4-7pm the day before to find out the number of meals needed. (716-280-3444). You can also arrange the drop off time at that point. Please bring the food in disposable containers or transfer into shelter containers when you deliver. Thank you. |

Apr. 24, 2021 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Rotary clubs throughout the Great Lakes watershed have banded together to clean portions of Great Lakes shorelines from April 17th and continuing during Earth Week (now). In Lockport, 10 Rotarians did a lot of leaf and brush removal in the parks along Market Street on the 17th. If you missed this opportunity, join us at 9 AM on Saturday, April 24th at the gazebo near Lake Effects Ice Cream. We'll provide some community service by refreshing the area near the old electric building and in the public areas visible to tourists. We are part of local leader, Jeff Degnan's team. Two years ago we found it useful to have our own lawn rakes with us. The Canal Corporation is providing tee shirts to volunteers. You can leave when you need to...or the job is done. |
