Vietnam Veteran Grodon Bellinger Receives Rotary Paul Harris Fellow Award
At the lunch meeting of the Rotary Club of Lockport, NY, today, Rotary club member Paul McAfee conferred a Paul Harris Fellow recognition award on Gordon Bellinger.
Gordon served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1970. He served in the 18th and 20th Engineer Brigades in Vietnam in 1968-1970, earning the Bronze Star award. The Bronze Star is a United States decoration awarded to members of the United States Armed Forces for either heroic achievement, heroic service, meritorious achievement, or meritorious service in a combat zone.
Gordie is the Treasurer and Membership Chair of the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) Chapter 268, in Lockport. He also is the Officer of the Day and Sergeant at Arms of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 2535 in Lockport.
Paul McAfee presented the Paul Harris Fellow award to honor Gordon Bellinger's continuing devotion to helping Veterans from all eras, and for his leadership in local veterans' organizations.
