Policing the Erie Canal

This presentation (Policing the Erie Canal) is old school story telling. Topics includes policing during the canal era, canal districts, canal laws, the Sabbatarian movement, the Underground railroad relationship with the canal, and the canal boy's saga (Attached American Jails Mag. Jan/Feb. 2001).  I have a reproduction 1890s era Syracuse police uniform with some original equipment (it could be worn or displayed) to accent the subject.
