Fundraising effort launched for Rotary Pavilion on the Erie Canal. Project will enhance Lockport's Market St. trail
Members of the Rotary Club of Lockport are aiding efforts to clean up and maintain some of the parks and pathways surrounding the Erie Canal in Lockport.  Part of this work includes helping the city to erect a picnic pavilion on Market Street near the Adam Street lift bridge. Installation of a new 20’ x 40’ open air pavilion adjacent to the Adam Street comfort station (which the City of Lockport plans to refurbish) will create an attractive new community amenity for local residents and visitors alike. With support from community members and businesses we hope to install the pavilion in 2023.
You can be a part of the Rotary Pavilion on the Erie Canal effort by ordering custom engraved paver bricks that will be embedded near the site. These bricks, engraved with your name, that of a loved one, a friend or family member, or perhaps your business name or organization, will remain a lasting, public tribute to the community spirit of Lockport, New York. 4” by 8” bricks are available for just $100 and larger 8” by 8” bricks are available for $225.  Brick donations and other contributions to support the pavilion construction should be made payable to the Lockport NY Rotary Foundation, a 501(c)3 charitable organization.
